An extraordinary composer and performer, Ken has traveled the world bringing his gift for storytelling and improvisation to churches, conventions, colleges, corporations and more, for groups ranging from 50 to 50,000 people. Through the Interlude project, Ken and partners are now conducting retreats, workshops, and special programs for churches large and small. There is simply nothing quite like a Ken Medema concert—it’s an experience that stays with you. With a background in music therapy, his vibrancy is fed not only from a deep understanding of what the human spirit needs, and his mastery of any form of musical style, but also his continuing work with his wife, Jane. Together they explore theology, psychology and culture in a way that enriches every encounter with him. They make their home in Alameda, CA where they’re often found reading or avidly watching movies when not playing with their four grandchildren who call Ken “Bub”.
